Brenda Contreras
Brenda Contreras is a visual artist and film curator working with 16mm, archival film, and digital video. Her interests lie in exploring the point where the personal and the extrinsic cross paths. Contreras received her formal training at San Francisco State University. She began her exploration of the experimental film community as an intern for Canyon Cinema, then programming with GAZE at Artists’ Television Access, and as the co-director of a traveling experimental film festival called Cut + Run Film Tour, which lasted 3 years and toured the United States and Europe.
