Sebastian Wiedemann
Colombian experimental filmmaker based in São Paulo, Brazil, has shown his films at galleries and festivals in the Americas, Europa and Asia. His film "Zugang" was edited by Experiments in Cinema - DVD Collection (2013) - USA. In 2015 his film "Los (De)pendientes" was included in Artforum’s list of the best films of the year and in 2017 won the Special Prize of the Jury at Fronteira Film Festival, Brazil. His work has received retrospective shows at La Neomudéjar Museum, Spain (2016) and at CineAutopsia – Bogotá Experimental Film Festival, Colombia (2017). He defines his cinematic practice as the search of a perpetual becoming state of the image in relation with the cosmos, through the following formula: "I make cinema because I´m not a painter. I make cinema as a composer would do.

Cineasta-investigador, estudió cine y filosofía en la Argentina y Artes Visuales en Colombia. Actualmente realiza estudios doctorales en el campo de la filosofía de la imagen a partir de procesos experimentales de research-creation en la Universidad Estatal de Campinas (UNICAMP-Brasil). Sus filmes de carácter experimental ya fueron presentados en galerías y muestras internacionales de las Américas, Europa y Asia. Su filme “Los (De)pendientes” fue escogido como uno de los mejores filmes del año por la revista Artforum en 2015 y en 2017gano el Premio Especial del Jurado en el Fronteira Film Festival (Brasil) . Su trabajo ha recibido retrospectivas en el Museo La Neomudéjar de Madrid-España (2016) y en el CineAutopsia Festival de Cine Experimental de Bogotá-Colombia (2017).
